On Thursday 16th May we took the whole centre for a trip to The Science Playroom in Henderson.
There were a lot of different activities including experiments with water and coloured ink in test tubes, pouring sand through various objects – funnels and wheels, etc, a ‘glow in the dark’ room, a microscope to magnify different items. You could also stand in front of a thermal camera or put your head into a perpex bubble inside a fishtank.
One of the favourites were the vacuum tubes where different items are put in and sucked through to blow out the top.
Another favourite was the space station terminal where you could dress in a space suit and pretend you were on the moon.
